Arts in Health & Education Introductory Days

Duration: 1 day (2nd March 2019)

What Are the Days About? Our Introductory Days provide a taster opportunity to learn about and experience either the Art Therapy process or Participatory Arts process.

Why Do This Course?

  • Begin to understand the role of creativity as a therapeutic or collaborative engagement methodology
  • Learn about different contexts within which art-making can be practiced
  • Engage with and develop your own understanding of the creative process

Art Therapy Introductory Day

The Art Therapy Introductory Day consists of an exploration of the theory and practice of Art Therapy, together with an opportunity to work experientially. It is intended as a way for individuals, new to Art Therapy, to gain an understanding and experience of the process. All materials are provided. Places are offered on first come first served basis.

Participatory Arts Introductory Day

Saturday 2nd March 2019

The Participatory Arts Introductory Day will provide an opportunity to explore arts-based collaborative engagement. It is designed for those interested in incorporating the arts within formal/informal learning and community contexts to gain an understanding and experience of the process and its potential. The day is workshop based. All materials are provided. No previous art-making experience necessary.
